Brave New World is often called next in 1984 as big dystopian classics. This is certainly not without reason. Huxley describes his dystopia in great detail and explain all the important details. The reader is given detailed knowledge about the structure of the system in Brave New World. The recorded in Brave New World one world seems to be even worse than the police state in 1984 because the suppression of goes voluntarily.
The so to speak, "ideological" side of the novel is therefore my opinion immaculate. For Huxley had to make compromises with regard to stress, especially as compared with 1984. The story of Bernard Marx is not really exciting and is more or less predictable. The plot has clearly less priority than a detailed Gesellschaftsbeschreib for Huxley. Suffer (though not too tight) the reader, therefore receives Brave New World of me also "only" 4 of 5 stars.
