Have this adapter ordered to connect an IDE DVD drive with a SATA interface. The drive was not detected in the BIOS, my guess is that it is located at the AHCI mode in which to run the Sata connections. (I can not set the disconnected mode and AHCI need because of the SSD, so I have not tested it in IDE mode. The drive and the adapter both had current)

I've noticed that in the description, "SATA / IDE adapter to connect IDE devices to a motherboard with SATA connection" and the title and the product name on the bill but says "S-ATA to IDE (PATA) Adapter"
Perhaps this is also because it has not worked.

Since I could not test 100% the function there are 3 stars. Returned I do not have him, because not worth the price at the expense and the shipping costs. Got myself a new SATA DVD burner purchased (20) works properly.
