Positives:
- Display for direct reading of the data, so that the smartphone does not have to be always with you
- 24h heart rate measurement, which works very well with me when cardio
- Comfortable to wear
- Compared to other fitness trackers with similar functions good battery life of 4-5 days with my user behavior
- Comprehensive and well-designed app with many reports and statistics and even more extensive Internet Dashboard
- Extensive configuration options of the display (various layouts for the clock display, sorting the display order, choice what to display in double tap)
- Stopwatch for tracking a workout
- Automatic sleep detection, but what does not work well with me (see also negative points)
- Unique vibration of the tracker and visual display on the screen for Carl. 10 seconds at an incoming call. This is a very handy feature for me as I put my phone on silent mode at work and so mitbekomme immediately that someone has tried to reach me
Neutral:
- Especially in direct comparison with the Jawbone UP24 the Tracker is optically no beauty, very striking the arm and acts something cheap. But this is just my personal feeling.
- The sleep evaluation is in the Jawbone app much more extensive and informative
Negatives:
- The automatic sleep tracking is also, if I'm in the evening on the sofa and definitely do not sleep. Here I must regularly manually correct the times recorded
- The Fitness Tracker is not waterproof
- Fast display zerkratzendes
- Is one of many more steps than the Jawbone UP24, which has very accurately counted, in my experience of the last months
- Inaccurate recognition of mastered floors
Conclusion:
The Fitbit batch HR provides a rich feature set with more acceptable dimensions and a good battery life.
Unfortunately, I am not convinced the automatic sleep tracking, it would be nice if you had a choice between automatic or manually switched on and off function on the device itself.
Furthermore, seem to me the counted daily steps too much, although I have made the correct settings (worn on the dominant hand) in the app.
So I will continue to maintain my pre-order at Amazon from November 2014 for the Jawbone UP3, and due to the negative points I mentioned (in particular due to the generous step count) awarded 3 out of 5 stars for the Fitbit batch HR.
