Pay that price for a juicer which certainly press oranges (this is the least that one can expect from a juicer!) But LEAKING, it's too !!!
Positives:
* Beautiful object (a bit bulky but nothing too)
* Pours the juice directly into the glass
* Well juiced (like most electric presses Citrus, right?)
Cons:
* With a single cone, pressing smaller citrus, limes style, is much more difficult;
* There is still a small "pool" of adjacent glass juice. I could not pinpoint where these few drops, but whatever the position of the glass (all against the machine or slightly offset) must clean the work plan;
* I think the famous "centrifuge effect" is overvalued. First, of course, this is not a real centrifuge (I have to make a carrot juice, among others, and I know what it is) but simply a passage a higher speed when pressed with the lid (but in this case, do not think there is half a fruit on the cone).
What is this higher speed? The filter that passes the juice in the container citrus press (then in the glass when the spout is lowered) does not have fine grooves as with most electric citrus presses, but very small holes that clog quickly that comes with the pulp of the fruit;
. Advantage: the juice is very well filtered, with no pulp (and if you wait a moment almost all the juice still flows in the glass)
. drawback: the pulp which is at the bottom filter retains still some juice.
This is where the second gear: putting the lid on the cone, the device runs much faster, ejecting the pulp remaining at the bottom of the filter everywhere: on the cover, the edge of the filter and pulp "jump" even in the pouring container which is exactly the result we would have if the filter holes were a little bigger or if they were thin slits as I had used on my old Moulinex.
For people wanting a juice without pulp, do not use a gear: So why buy this device, while Siméo () much cheaper but the effect "centrifuge" (again it n ' NOT centrifuge) is as beautiful?
For those that do not mind and even who appreciate a bit of pulp in the juice (like me) is it really necessary to have to do both operations (low speed with half fruit + high speed with the plastic cover )?
* It lacks a dual rotation that extracts faster, but hey, the juice is still well extract.
