This book has all the makings of a classic Vonnegut text. HOWEVER, it lacks depth, and the plot thickens never really. By the end of the novel, I was asking myself, "Wait, how did we get to this point in the story?" The overall idealism Which is used to give character development to Rosewater takes away from the reality of the situation. The novel does have characteristics rewarding, but I do not think This should be the first book by Vonnegut That One reads.
