Not only for coffee! Very clean workmanship, excellent functionality

For some time I cook often Asian and lately mainly Indian and play a major role, especially in Indian cooking, the spices, you sometimes need the same spices in the form of seeds and sometimes ground. Since I do not want to have both types available to stem the flood of spices a little stop, has volunteered, 1021 to purchase the Proficook PC KSW as a spice mill. So I have the possibility to grind the spices that are needed in ground state prior to cooking and need for only the seeds form the spices have in stock. This also has the advantage that (as is common in India) previously can still fry the spices and of course the freshly ground spices have an even stronger aroma than ready ground that are already open longer. Yesterday I test for a garam masala made myself and am very pleased with the result.

The detailed operating instructions should sensibly before first use read (I'm an avid reader Instructions Manual) in order to prevent operating errors and consequent disappointment from the beginning. Even went out of the product description on Amazon is not very clear to me shows that two crushing cups obtained with the machine with different diameter equipment: a percussion mechanism for grinding dry, solid foods (coffee, spices, etc.) and a hoeing to hack eg onions or other softer foods that should not be too wet or sensitive to heat.

The reduction ratio can be properly dispensed in all cases by the number of (short) actuating pulses. My Garam Masala spice mix was pretty pulverized on by more frequent application, as you ground spices just imagining. Especially during coffee grinding is a precise control of the grind, depending on the application thus easily possible (see explanations in the manual).

After the first positive impressions I can Proficook PC KSW 1021 as a (small) crushing food processor highly recommended.
