DELIVERY:

Look and feel:
The narrow frame and the pedestal in glass optics, the device looks very elegant. The construction is done in a few simple steps. The power cord is relatively short (1.5 m), but adequate. All connections are easily accessible on the side of the back and individual additionally on the side. The following connections are available:

Very much I love this device is that it still has a genuine on / off switch! On most devices, you are forced to leave them in permanent standby to run. I find that for ecological reasons (even if the device does not consume as much electricity) does not make sense and sometimes annoying just the LED. The Grundig VLE 9270 BL has a very large LED in stylish blue, which I really like, but for example, the location in the bedroom would be very annoying. But this is not a problem because on the case bottom is a small toggle switch which allows you to turn off the power completely.
Set up and use:
I use the VLE 9270 with cable channels, which is why I can give even more so my experience. After switching on you will be prompted to make some settings, however, are described in the operating instructions. The channel search has found no problems, a variety of digital and analogue TV channels as well as a large number of radio stations. I missed no station. The search process took a total of about 10 minutes. Following the "Programme Table" was displayed, displayed on all TV channels and the currently selected channel is displayed in the image preview. There rename the possibility transmitter, move or create favorite lists. We are also directly on my biggest gripe with this instrument from Grundig. In the Operator's Guide describes exactly how stations can be moved in the program table to determine an individual station order. Do I want to do this, however, so I get the message "Choose To Move favorite mode!". I was at first not sure if maybe I'm doing something wrong and a favorites list've created (this is very simple, as you all stations that can are in the list select a table and does not have to select each individually) and here again the transmitter function is selected to move. There was actually no problem to determine the order. I initially thought that so everything would be fine and I'll just use the favorites list. It's just one catch. Although now the favorites list is used when I select the station using the number buttons, but not when I use the P + and P- deeds. I have therefore a station from 15th to 6th place moved in the favorite list, the channels appears when I press the "6" on the remote control. Press I then, however, so I end up not in 7th place, but at No. 16, because unfortunately it is not possible to adjust the "P +" somewhere, that "zap" to the favorite list you want to use. That's just annoying.
However, in the manual it says clearly that in the program table (Overview), the transmitter can be moved, I have checked with the customer from Grundig. I was there told that the paragraph in the manual would be correct in principle. However, it currently only refers to the satellite receiver, for which this device was also designed. If the device would operate similar to mine via cable, a sorting of stations in the cable operation from legal and licensing issues would not currently possible. It, however, appropriate changes have been recently approved, which would be reflected by review and approval of the new software with an update.
Now I wonder, however, why my old TV was sort without problems in the cable operating the transmitter.
A first update I've already installed (more on this in the section Internet), but that has the problem not yet resolved. So I'll wait and tease me until then.
But even if the order would vote for, could I "zap" the TV in this unconvincing. Because this device is quite slow. It begins when you turn and goes on every time you change channels.
The user menu and the settings I find self-explanatory. So far I have found everything without problems by the update settings to the format.
Picture & sound:
Picture and sound are the real strengths of the VLE 9270 BL.
I've never seen such a brilliant and natural image with a TV. The depth effect seemed to me at the beginning downright strange, because I was not used to. But now I have to honestly say that I no longer want to miss that! There are several preset picture modes (Eco-TV, Sharp, of course, movies, sports) and the possibility to make an individual user settings. I'm using as a basis "Eco TV" and have made slight adjustments only when brightness and sharpness.
Also the sound is very good, without a surround sound system would be necessary here. I beg to refer to the product data sheet The exact technical details.
3D function:
I have a 3D player the Sony brand, which I have a few movies (eg The Smurfs in 3D and Pirates of the Caribbean 4 in 3D) viewed on the Grundig VLE 9270 BL. 3D-capable TV defect I could not use this feature before, and had therefore no real comparison. But since I knew the films already as 3D presentation at the cinema, I could use this as a comparison. My conclusion: I'm impressed!
I did not think that the 3D effect is so good for a device at home.
Now, these are only a 37-inch model, which has scaled down my expectations, but also with greater distance from the TV and a lateral seat position, the effect was impressively good. The minimum distance for a unit of this size should be 1.5 m. As an ideal, I felt a distance of approximately 2.5 m, but even with my usual TV distance of about 4 m could enjoy the movie perfectly. So it is quite possible with several people to watch 3D movies at home. Since six glasses are included, this should be sufficient. Unfortunately, the goggles for spectacle wearers are very uncomfortable because I have better experiences that did not sit quite as tight.
There is also a 2D to 3D effect I not use.
INTERNET:
The TV can be integrated quickly and easily into the WLAN. If the device is connected to the Internet, so over here also software updates can be carried out. I was a message is displayed when an update was available and the opportunity offered the update be carried out immediately or to postpone to a later date. In the menu you can set whether to automatically check for updates.
For the digital TV channels ARD, ZDF and the third party, there is the possibility of an extra button on the remote access HbbTV. Here the media libraries are for example available.
About another separate button on the remote ("@"), the Internet function can be called. There are some pre-set applications, eg for YouTube. It all works well, although not particularly fast and the input from the remote control is rather cumbersome. The comparison is here my BluRay player, which is much faster in the Internet on the move and can also remember keywords. This can not be the Grundig unfortunately. As an alternative to keyboard input, however, lends itself to the "Grundig TV Remote" app, which is available for free for iOS and Android. I have it installed on my tablet, which can now serve as a giant remote control. They are the same keys available, which are also on the normal remote control. However, it can be show a keyboard, which is sometimes advantageous.
A little odd, I find that in the Internet function no umlauts are displayed. Instead of back is there so back.
The TV as a recorder:
While watching digital TV, it is possible to include them. It is still needed to connect a USB stick or a hard drive to the device, only the use of recording, playback and TimeShift is possible.
Unfortunately, a recording can be played only on the device on which it was also recorded. Apparently, the data is encrypted anyway.
On the remote control are separate buttons for recording, playback, fast forwarding, rewinding, etc. available.
