This keyboard guard works as advertised, ie it will protect your keyboard quite well. HOWEVER I found it ill-suited to the MacBook Air Compared to the MacBook Pro. The reason for this is que la MBA: has a lower profile and less springy keyboard. While the guard fits, exchange it the feel of the keyboard considerably. I found I Was committing many more mistakes with it than without it. On the MBP, the keys are raised Higher and Firmer to begin with and the guard Does not make a big difference.
So overall this is fine for a MBP purpose I do not recommend it for a MBA, strange as it May sound.
