Difficult even for a lover of the work of Monk, appreciate this album. Everything that makes the singularity of his music (inconvenience, silences, errors and generally assumed her obsessive and introverted, paranoid limit) is drowned by a clumsy orchestration (the Oliver Nelson recognized yet!) That denatures mind. I find it hard to believe that Thelonious could endorsed such an undertaking. Anyway, its awesome themes badly marry big orchestrations. The two themes of Teo Macero are, moreover, completely inappropriate and grotesque. Rest a solo version of the inevitable 'Round Midnight'. If you were to break one of Monk discs as well be one.
