2. Installation: (my system: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit)
I needed to download any additional drivers, but the card is not automatically
installed, but "Update Driver" through Device Manager and found Windows internet immediately a suitable driver. It also does not require additional software when using Windows Media Center. Tuning closed immediately and all available TV channels have been found here.
3. Practical test:
The image quality in my opinion is comparable to other low-cost DVB-T sticks (such as the MSI DigiVox Ultimate HD, I bought it for just under 15 for my girlfriend).
The big problem, so I had to return the ExpressCard already after 1 day back was that it was incredibly hot in my laptop after about 2 hours of continuous operation and in full screen mode no judder liquid television was impossible! The ExpressCard slot is located on my Dell Inspiron 1501 directly on the hard drive: I have but nevertheless have a SSD in it, which itself developed almost no heat! Anyone who owns a laptop, in which the 54mm slot is at a cool place, may have better luck. Inspiron 1501 owners, I can only advise in any case, especially when another Standard is installed 2.5 "hard disk!
Conclusion: Too bad if the enormous heat development would not affect the operation of the DVB-T ExpressCard to the extent that I would like to keep it!
