The Universal Streuuer was purchased primarily for spreading fertilizer. Which setting to use for the passage of the material to be spread, of course, is always dependent on the agents used. The setting is easily and with a small "sample scattering" z..B. also easy to check in an open carton / in a box. However, I realized that this Spreader for all fertilizers is equally well suited. So it is difficult to disperse fine-grained, slightly dusty agents. But it is ideal for granular, solid fertilizers. These can deploy targeted. Tentatively I once applied some m² grass seed. The result could not completely convincing, but what could have been because of a possibly less than ideal setting me. According to the manufacturer and road salt can be scattered. For this purpose, however, now the experience I lack to.
On the subject of working height still a little note. If one tries to keep the spreader always at the same level (eg in front of the body at waist level), manages the uniform supply.
Overall, for my purposes (mainly fertilizer and not sowing) a good helper, I would buy for this application again.
