I had provided the equipment for the bedroom. The previously purchased Toshiba 26EL834G I had to return because of his extreme flashlight effect, which could not stand in a dark place. Now I thought, nothing to go wrong with the 26PFL3606H / 12 because I had a .22 in the same series and a 37er PFL7606 the series to run smoothly in the household. First, everything seemed fine until I tried to decrease the contrast of 100%. In the moment when the contrast by setting or by an automatic set less than 100% and the CFL backlight began thereby dim, the inverter of backlights caught animal to be humming. This hum was so loud that it to (in the sleeping room usually not so loudly asked) drowned TV sound. So there were only two alternatives: a totally overdriven in the dark bedroom image with full backlight and 100% contrast without humming or that a wrong image with background sound. Both were not what I had imagined. When I went out by a single error, I asked why Amazon, replace the unit which worked turbo quickly and at no additional cost. But once again a big thank you to the service team of Amazon. Unfortunately, the replacement unit whirred also, although not quite as loud as its predecessor. So there seems to be a series problem. In a bright room with sufficient ambient noise this device series may therefore well be useful for the bedroom it is definitely not. I'm a bit disappointed by Philips because this whirring could be effectively suppress probably by ordinary potting the inverter coil with an additional cost of a few cents. I'll catch up on my device, but must therefore wait until the Gewähleistung has expired. Why only three stars because such defects due to sloppy processing need not be.
