I have the card recently ordered from Amazon, in order to operate my PC 5.1 Speaker System. This is connected to the sound card like most about three jack (front, rear, center / sub). Installation Technically course I stuck to the rules of Creative, everything looked from the optical first really good, beautiful user interfaces, etc. Then came the sound test. Only highs, no bass. No problem I thought, just the bass redirection in the driver enable (in this way are usually the bass dedicated to the subwoofer). What came next shocked miich a bit since I first thought my subwoofer would be broken - many may know the sound of blown speakers -.. Hum, scratching, and the like Of course I did not give up at this point and took all possible changes in the settings. The result remained the same. My next look was the Internet forums. Lo and behold the problem had more users on Vista. One of them quoted a letter from the Creative Support, which gave final clarity for me. Logically, reported the employee, that the problem is known, but a solution was still pending - one could also call it so far unfortunately no date. This letter was from 9.1.2009. The product was at this time but already a very long time on the market, and so for me the matter is clear: back with it, because a solution, it will probably never give - even if I will it not indefinitely (!) . wait The Produukt is also no longer listed on Creative's website (only in the shop), a further indication that there has been "abandoned". Conclusion: In my opinion indicates Creative Vista compatibility for the product, which is only very limited real Vista-compatible. A prime example of how products are thrown into a totally immature stage on the market - every beta testers would have noticed this problem immediately.
