- Elena Deveraux is a vampire hunter. Here the concept has a different meaning. Indeed, Elena should not hunt them and kill them; but it must oust them and return them to their owners and masters (angels). It is called for a new mission: find the Archangel Raphael is a mad Archangel ...
- I love how every author depicts angels and their world. I was seduced by the vision of Nalini Singh. The Archangels literally reign on the world and share the territories. Humans are naturally fascinated by their lives and see them as beautiful beings.
- The story is nice, though a bit long. Indeed, this hunting Archangel hardly happen and fall into place. Initially the author focused on the battle of egos between Elena and Raphael (who ended up being boring).
- Elena is not the kind of hero that I love. I found arrogant and vulgar. His past, certainly horrible, has not made touching to me. It is a hunter-born, his sense of smell allows him to track down the vampires quite easily.
Archangel Raphael is the evil par excellence. It is cold, hard, cruel, and very full of himself little person. He did nothing angelic (except the wings).
- Writing level, we come to things that annoy. The writing of the author is quite unpleasant, especially because of the vulgarity that pollutes the narrative. I certainly used to the slang and a few good curses, which are regular in "bit-bed". However there is really unjustified and it leaves a very bad impression. All pages we find ourselves faced with "dick, bitch, whore, bastard, fucking shit" ... it will 5 minutes what.
- In the end, my opinion is quite mixed. However the story as a whole and the final revelations (the creation of vampires, after the "fight" ...) I liked and I think read more (released in September). I only hope that the second volume will be better, and that I would find no weaknesses first.
