Handling

Water resistance

The advertised by the manufacturer and the party function "Waterproof" was of course immediately tested. What is meant by water resistance, clears the corresponding Wikipedia article ([...]).
The experimental setup is simple:
1) box open and insert a single sheet of toilet paper folded in the box, so that the area to be filled; Make sure that the paper does not come into contact with the sealing rubber.
2) Box shoot again and make sure that the toilet paper is not pinched between the two halves and has contact with the outside.
3) Box any time under water followed (see photo gallery).
4) Box set out in the water, dry and carefully open, so that possible water drops do not drip on the toilet paper.

Conclusion

The box is smaller than expected and thus stow away in backpacks, also like with the mounting strap so you can attach the box with a ribbon on bags or backpacks. But what is not like the fact that the advertising promises Waterproof is not respected. Since no bar-statement was made, this should be understood as a pure marketing agent, because in Water resistance information on watches will always find a supplementary indication.
The shock resistance is also convincing, at least likely in outdoor activities, the cards are not damaged by poking or scratching.
As the price of the box was low (9), so that other bags or cases can not keep up, the limited water resistance can be neglected in many users under certain circumstances. However, if you want to go swimming with the box, or even dive and the statement Waterproof trusts should be possibly look around for alternatives.
My copy I have to evaluate with fewer stars as a convenience function, the water tightness is not given in full - I can not be 100% sure that the interior water can penetrate.
