Purchase Intention:
After I own the Grade 1, Grade 2 and Grade 3 Grade 4 is the course been on my wish list at the top. But since another similar model, the touch Edge hits the market you have to compare, of course.

Style:
For many, it was for years a no selling point that Samsung mobile phone are made only of plastic. Now Samsung breaks it and built an aluminum frame, but thanks to the painting looks like plastic.
The background is like the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 plastic imitation leather. This is good grip and makes the phones look like quality
In the size of the note has not changed much this time. The dimensions are almost the same as that of the 3 Series model. Weight the mobile phone has also risen. It now weighs about 8 grams more.
The biggest difference between the two models is also the most obvious. The Edge has a sidebar, which expands the existing screen by 160 pixels, or about 1 cm and is controlled separately. Here Samsung has thought around the corner and inserted the display as a new navigation bar. The main display is relieved and offers more space.
However a nice idea just has to prove yet.
Why the Edge but Edge in a smaller battery is installed despite enhanced display, however, is not me completely conclusive.
Overall, both phones make a high-quality impression.
The Pencil:
The Stylus is one of the advantages of the note series. A small pen with which one can do a lot.
This was still designed a lot more sensitive. It recognizes the speed of writing how thick must be the line. It feels almost like writing on paper. The changes are more noticeable than with previous predecessors.
The new Stylus now also has more pressure points and can now be used as a kind of computer mouse.
The display:
The display has a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels So higher than Full HD. This is the sharpest display I have ever seen on the market.
As always installed Samsung also here an AMOLED display with PenTile matrix. Color representation and contrast is the benchmark. Watch films on mobile phones has never been so good as to these models!
The display of the Edge has over the note 4 a to 160Pixel Advanced display (resolution ie 2560 x 1600). These displays are however coherently driven separately from the software. A drag and drop works but apps are not shown extended to these 160 pixels.
Software:
The mobile phone runs on Android 4.4 with TouchWiz. This is going great, thanks to the fast processor and is easy to use for Samsung connoisseurs. Newcomers have to try quite often something on the menu level yet.
Camera
16 megapixels is a word and the images are to look brilliant.
Blurred photos will participate with Smart OIS, an optical image stabilizer of the past. This is not quite the truth but the pictures are the best I've ever seen in mobile phone cameras.
The front camera has been equipped with a 3.7 megapixel camera. Previously, the camera was designed for video chat but this trend could only partially enforce (Skype, etc.). However, the front camera has won in recent years become more important, because nowadays more Selfies be shot than usual any photos.
As was already the most successful shot Selfie (Oscar Selfie) on the Grade 3 you could not escape this trend here. The photos are also very well whatever the reduced aperture value of F2.4 is due to F1.9. Wide-angle of 120 degrees are now possible.

Except for the following differences both mobile are nearly identical.
- Note Edge has an additional display which the right side is turned down
- Power button on the touch Edge is because the display is not on the right side but on the top
- Note Edge is 3mm wider than the grade 4
- The main display is the Edge by 0.1 inches smaller (5.6 instead of 5.7 inches)
- Battery of 220mAh Edge has less capacity than the Grade 4 (3000 mAh to 3,220 mAh)
- Note Edge is operated on the top note 4 no (additional display for left hand operated)
- Note Edge is only limited available (possibly by value Stable)

In short:
Both phones are absolute reference class. Who cares the new sidebar and the higher price value should pick up the Edge. Otherwise, I would recommend the score 4.
For users of the Grade 3 I would not recommend switching to the grade 4 but to wait for the grade 5 because of technical progress is not as large as in the other generation jumps.
