Increasingly, music is now a fee, but then offered in the best digital quality to download. The "re-mastered" recordings are not always what one expects this and must be reworked. Now, after many years of trouble-free operation of the old, yet dynamic Beyer-quality product, it seemed to me at the time, to equip me with a part, of course, reflects not only heights but also the bass.
The ideal I have not found in the DT990. The KH has - in contrast to the HiFi thoughts - sound, ie he mixes automatically add something that is not the case here. A frequency response measurement reveals only what I hear: a huge oomph to 100 Hz, which covers the major centers and basic tones and overall gives a warmer impression than reality. He is in the bass range, the opposite of the old model. Deep bass is still very little known. The response described provides for the Settle stop the diaphragm for a less detailed bass. In defense of the KH, I must say that the sound in the upper frequency range is differentiated and different timbres dissolves, but primarily towards fine, so the top Freuenzen.
All in all, a headset for people who otherwise always turn to tone controls in order to achieve a more pleasing sound to relaxed listening. The cranks can be saved here.
For those who want natural mixes, it is not recommended. Unlike so as the advertising statements by Beyer. Since I now and then also belong to the first category of listeners, I have kept the KH.
