Unpacking:
- All wrapped up neatly
- The carrying case looks stylish and is - to save weight - not padded
- 1 Removable 200 is
- Tripod is made of aluminum and has a decent feel, although not in the locked state has everything a little game
- Tripod without changing plate weighs 1470g (it seems to have become customary cancel instead of round, and even without center column to cause the weight with some other)
I have a Nikon D800 with 24-70 / 2.8 lens attached (2.5kg). The legs were thereby fully extended and locked in the smallest Abspreizwinkel. After gently tapping the camera with 1-2N (100-200g) were vibrations 0,5 - 1s to see and feel. The Spinnenbeinchen the lower segment are round and flattened to about 1/3 of the circumference (probably. Against twisting). The maximum diameter geträgt 12mm. Since you already fear that they bend when you contrast pushes times.
The terminals are in plastic. Here I would not break concerns. Even the head (without friction setting) keeps the weight. As it is in extreme inclinations of the camera, I have not tried.
The decision was clear after 30 minutes: go back. With a large zoom and / or in some wind I like me have no idea until the photo result. And even if the pack size is very tempting, the compromise was not sufficiently large.
In promotional video of Manfrotto, I think I have a Canon EOS 5D seen with a similar heavy lens. ME is the tripod for compact cameras at most, or very light system / SLR suitable. Or basically works with a mirror lock of min. 2 seconds windless environment.
My conclusion (and my follow-up action): prefer the purse open a little further (relative to the other equipment, the difference is almost lost in the noise), 200g carry more, the head of the "big" stand switch (I'm hopefully not too often) and a stable Carbon Tripod his own name.
