In the first part, the reader will discover their history, passions they arouse, covenants and details of conspiracies, their correspondence with the month the various categories of malicious demons (fairy people) or frankly evil, the characteristics of the possession (with a questionnaire to screen the spell), the process of exorcism.
The second part lists 333 devils with their hierarchies. Each definition has information on their origins in various civilizations, skills and moult other small captivating details.
The third and final section offers two treaties:
- The incubus and succubus (studied from every angle), Jules Delassus,
- The Temple of Satan, of Stanislas de Guaita, and Hector Henri Durville.
The texts and illustrations (over 100) are printed in burgundy, which is very pleasing to the eye.
Finally, the Treaty of demonology seemed particularly dense and of great interest as it allows to discover the demons from an objective angle. They are not a simple embodiment of evil as we think too often. I can only recommend it for fans of this kind of reading.
