Zachary Cale is mid 20th Maybe end 20 Comes from Louisianna. Is multi-instrumentalist. He seems to be the unobtrusive, timid and restraining boy next door. Can be heard playing on the quiet days of autumn through the open window guitar. Which one or the other makes thoughts about life. And especially with passion behind is what he does. Music for the masses? No. Much more he seems to rely on its fine songwriting and his compositions, and what is it, it is just. No music artificially generated. Exclusively comes over the honesty of the songs. The songs, the boy next door flat.
At Zachary Cale you have to maybe get used. This could also come along because he apparently sings exclusively through the nose. Immediately after Blake's Way comes the idea of threatening overdose "nose". But the two instrumental songs in the middle turn out to be excellent and magical variety. Sometimes out of the whole singing ... why not? And from time to time sounds sometimes a female voice.
But musically Zachary Cale is also good for a surprise or two. Whether a cheerful "I Want You" Rip Off Intro in the (let's call it) "Hit" Day For Night (the then nevertheless developed its own charm), or the melancholy Hello Oblivion. A folk-pop anthem from you but actually my should, they should conquer the whole world with their sonic depth. Whether folk, whether pop, Americana or whether simply Full Band Country, the songs always captivate. And when it is time Catchy as in the grand Mourning Glory Kid ... why not?
It should be mentioned also Cale's partly virtuosic and creative picking. Even the seemingly most difficult guitar tracks he exudes an almost unparalleled ease. Hats off.
Whether Zachary Cale will ever make it big? To wish it would be the Americans certainly sympathetic. But on the other hand, it's sometimes nice just the boy sing next to hear, and not only the (let's call them times) "Stars". Or is it?
