Okay but could be better

This model although in one piece weighing not specify is actually divided into two parts electronically speaking:
-The Handles + 20 + 1 active buttons for configuration with the selector
-The Trackball + 2 buttons (side) + 1 for locking the horizontal axis
The "handles" functions as a keyboard and not as one or more multi-axis joysticks. This mode of operation, perfectly in line with arcade games, can cause you to reconfigure your favorite games previously configured for analog operation joypads or "view." Fortunately, manufacturers have foreseen this and thanks to the 4-position switch + connection to a PS / 2 keyboard (no, not playstaion 2, PS / 2 means "the small round purple and taken down the keyboard") you can reprogram the button on the keyboard corresponding to each of the 20 buttons each of the 4 directions joystick. So 3 configurations can be stored in the controller, the fourth selector position gives us a default configuration that can not be changed, in my opinion not the most convenient, but sometimes recognized by some games. The settings are saved even if the handle is totally disconnected. You will understand, an entry PS / 2 for connecting a keyboard to program the buttons. The output, the DB9 size (old serial port), is probably compatible with older computers but the extension of 2 meters allows connection PS / 2 or USB. Incidentally, the controller can serve as an extension to the keyboard you plug it.
The "mouse", completely independent in operation, is recognized as a standard 2-button mouse. The trackball appears to be mechanical operation but of unprecedented accuracy. It transcribes both small movements (mouse may seem slow at first) that rapid movements. The third button, located behind next to the joystick configuration button, is absolutely not recognized by the computer, it only serves to block the horizontal axis allowing greater precision they say in the instructions . The connection is made after a 3 meter cable for USB or PS / 2 (warning for the mouse is the small round green jack).
To summarize, if you want to use fully the joystick you will have 2 USB ports on a modern computer. That said two parts said two hook but also two different cable lengths. The shortest measuring 2 meters (joysticks), the 3-meter is only useful if its length is only part the trackball.
The buttons are of undoubted quality but I have a few little words to say about the controllers. The springs that bring the knob in the center cause rebounds when loose thereby generating parasitic oscillation movements. This discomfort is increased on one of the two joysticks that seems to be too sensitive and sometimes crashes in one direction when all is unleashed and stable. The internal footprint is perfectly circular, free directions and diagonals are not marked, which can be embarrassing for a player not fully confirmed.
The keyboard is not provided and adapters dreamcast, playstation, xbox and gamecube either. The instructions are only in English but that should stop anyone.
To end with a positive point 6 games are included: Gauntlet, Rampage, Robotron 2084, Joust, Defender, Smash TV.
