Hervorstechen and by no means a bad idea from a commercial point is the cover of "It's Raining Men". Vocally course not comparable with the Weather Girls but that does not matter. The discreet trashy, very catchy and fleet production in sound and Geris vocals blend together well. The song is an ingenious earwig in this highly polished version of Popcorn. An indestructible classic, which thus again able to make it big.
Otherwise, even perhaps Geri's very best Ballad stands out positively among other things, written by Vettesse ballad "Calling", ever. Meets amidst the ear canals and beyond into the heart. A good song for the radio program and also all so very well audible.
Then we have on the plus side of the pretty fleet opener "Scream If You Wanna Go Faster" and the driving (typical sounding for Greg Alexanders writing style) "Shake Your Bootie Cutie". Even the trendy, cheerful song "Strenght Of A Woman" I find very successful. And then "Heaven & Hell", which comes off really well as a catchy song.
The remaining pieces are all back, partly to anödende Fillersongs (eg "Do not Call Me Baby" incl. Selfsame beat like the Spice Girls track "Stop"). "Lovey Dovey Stuff" must be classified with the artificial Reaggae tones even as a musical ear. Brrr, it does not go. "Feels Like Sex" has then nothing at all with the most jobs in the world together, is easily converted to pushy but peppy. Had the lead single but not the album era started.
Thanks to the hit songs u. Covers "It's Raining Men", the album could nevertheless attain a moderate success. Otherwise the Popwerk remains not in memory but the attempt was worth it.
