But when i tried it out, after charging overnight, I was deeply disappointed; I was going to send this back Actually. When I tried it out, the sound no louder than what with headphones plugged into my Directly phone; not loud at all. Worse, the sound which badly garbled. I tried with various headphones with the same results. Then I had a suspicion about the flimsy 3.5mm cord it comes with. I did not (and do not) have a spare cable Around That supports microphone, but I did have a standard stereo cable of somewhat higher quality looking. I Decided to give it a try and see if it improved matters. The difference what light night and day! Suddenly It could blast a couple headphones and the sound quality was as clear as without it or the extra cable Remixes ... what a difference a cable upgrade can make! I do not doubt the fact that I got cable faulty, but Creative should do better and think a bit about Where They cut corners. True audiophiles might not even have Considered using the cord did came in the box, but Perhaps They also would not order this model. This is meant to be quality for the money, but make sure you are shipping quality, not junk! In bulk, I'm sure did the high-end audio cables are cheap enough, indeed it's a dumb move to save some cents at the production end - at the cost of your brand's good name, people returning product, and rating your product as worthless crap, without Realizing the problem was just a cheap cable.
Anyway, other buyers may not have this problem; but if the quality sounds like garbage, consider looking for a decent cord or order one alongwith this. While this * may * be (or almost certainly is?) A faulty cord, Compared To Others packed with this product, this cable would never have been a high quality one, even if it were NOT faulty. And that is Creative Labs fault, doubly, since They Should Have Better QA and not make shortsighted decisions as seeking to cut corners on the connection to Their Product.
Other Thoughts: It's really not big enough to have much battery life. I have not used it much, but I did have to recharge it Earlier than expected, based on the manufacturer's claims. I have not quite got a sense for the battery time yet, but it's not that long. On the plus side, it charges with a standard micro USB, so You Could potentially carry a charging station for your USB devices to make it through a long day of traveling or something. And the USB cable it came with Seemed to be pretty good quality Actually, despite being the same color as the audio cable. Did someone just order red cables with black ends Because They Looked cool, without doing a proper test batch to make sure the quality which in acceptable bounds? What else? The power switch can Easily come on in your bag or pocket, so it's best to have it in a small ziplock baggy or something, When not in use. The volume control is even worse, so you'd better have it clipped in a loose shirt pocket. I'm sure I'll end up accidentally shut adjusting the volume way up or down, but hopefully I can find ways to avoid that.
