I loved this book from beginning to end. It is a romance a little blue flower (this can readily guess the end) but what makes the story interesting is also the "historic". It happens in Scotland after the execution of William Wallace (look at the Bravheart movie with Mel Gibson, it will give you insight on the context) when Robert the Bruce wants his crown and he is preparing for war against the English. It seeks to recruit soldiers who will fight with him, but in the shadows and who will perform the perilous and dangerous missions. No one will know their real names. Tor is the head of his clan and refuses to take sides in this war. Because of his refusal to lead this elite corps, Tor will trap and find himself forced to marry Christina and train soldiers. At first he will fight against the attraction and desire he feels for Christina. Tor will be a little hard to digest the fact that it participated in the trap we set for him. But it will eventually be seduced by the innocent and vulnerable girl. Christina will do anything to please him and to seduce him. There are several sex scenes very well described, it does not turn into porn. It is sensual and full of passion. She sees her knight in Tor but he did not a, it's a highlanders who does not respect the code of honor of the knights. She will report several times. The writing is fluid, easy to read. The plot holds up. I finished it in two days (I would have finished sooner if we had invented the 36-hour days :-) There is neither too much nor too romance of history, just enough to make this sublime history. Obviously if you do not like romance, this is not for you. I look forward to the next novels.
