(Bacharach), or "Breakfast at Tiffany's" and "The Pink Panther" (Mancini) without the music of these two brilliant composer? The "Best of Henry Mancini" CD should be in every record collection. Mancini was a master of the small means by which he made amazing good music. His titles are suitable to escape a musty atmosphere as well as a background for a party, where you want to interpret an elegant, light-footed soundscape. "Moon River", "Mr. Lucky", "The Summer Knows" ... the man would have to be well born yet, the case of this music does not work out the heart.
