This raises the question of whether one necessarily an E-30 needs, if you already have an E-520? The answer is clearly "Yes" - apart from the fact that men from time to time need a new toy. My conclusion after a few weeks: the image quality is noticeably better, the large viewfinder I missed (I wear glasses), the swiveling monitor allows many alternatives when shooting, going to have for example a deep Aufnahemposition without its knees (is more than 60 a argument), and unnoticed photography, eg for festivities from the desk edge, between the glasses through, or around the corner. The camera is large enough to use larger and heavier lenses can. handling with a 1260 or 7030 is very good. That was rather marginal with the E-520. The batteries are the same for E-30 and E-520.
