Callie lives on the street with his little brother, Tyler, and their childhood friend, Michael. To earn some money, she decides to rent her body. (A little explanation is in order: we are in a society of the future, following a war of Spores, only younger and older survivors, they want to be given a makeover by paying in a few days body fresh, beautiful and dynamic). Callie is committed to a one-month mission, but things will present themselves evil.

STARTERS is an intense and gripping reading, a reading full of action and suspense, with a heroine who debate only against a rotten system. It's dark, poignant and quite tense. Callie is a young charming and nice girl, not stupid either, she falls in love, living a fairy tale, feeling betrayed and then falling into a living hell. It is frankly well done, because I have swallowed all and I have no regrets! It's a great thriller, which reads as fast (and who does not waste a lot of time in useless considerations romantic!). Moreover, this first volume is a way out, no need to go any further for those who refuse the long course, but personally I sign on to reconnect with this strange and captivating universe.
