About the benefits were already sufficiently raved about in other reviews so I would like to emphasize the 2 aspects which led to the withdrawal of a star:
1. The automatic calibration is quite opaque and its function thus hardly helpful. I do not use therefore, but operate the AVR in the "normal" Pro Logic 2 mode depending on the source in the Music or Movie or Game mode. The timing fits in my living room so quite well.
2. The operation as such is a bit strange at first. This makes it difficult to get started, and involves initially a bit 'frustration potential ". If you have to first get used to but it all works really well. Also Airplay does its job reliably and in good quality.
All in all I must say I am with the device actually very happy, especially because I could buy it elsewhere for $ 199. The functional range leaves little to be desired for the ambitious traveler on a tight budget.
