Use the disk as a storage system for the photo library of the Photos app. For a conversion into the format Mac Journaled was necessary. Encryption I do not need and have it disabled in the registry. After the drive has been formatted. Both were done in a few minutes. The plate is small, light, super fast and quiet. For me, a super-solution and the Mac Highly Recommended!
