Lately this sound came through the back door so always come back at the "Rock Hard compatibly chapels" ... whether through Ghost, which certainly does not only remind me again and again to a jazzy version of Christian Death on "The Scriptures" times , Watain with their Fields Of The Nephilim influences or course in In Solitude, whose album "Sister" also has a lot of authentic 80s Wave / Gothic Rock Feeling.
All this brings me to BEASTMILK - because who presented with CLIMAX an album that captures the overall feel and the sound of the 80s gothic rock terrific! I would have to really think about when I heard last album, which captures so skillfully influences from bands of that era and combines with a very own touch. CLIMAX is terrific composed, has just the right balance between darkness, hardness and melancholy and catchiness and bulkiness, the songs rock this is hard in the ear.
From the opening track "Death Reflects Us" on "Ghosts Out Of Focus", "Nuclear Winter", "The wind blows through the skulls" sung "Love in a Cold World", the material is very strong, poignant and with the right touch produces filth ... this is not a smooth ironed Little Girl Jammer Goth with manga appearance but sinister in the 80-rooted ROCK, which of course fans of violent Mucke may like that are not necessarily on the bands mentioned.
No question, BEASTMILK are among the bands that I expect in the future Large - and who knows, maybe we is yes to the shaft of the "female fronted 70s Occult Rock" in recent years, before a new revival of rock with Wave / Gothic influences. .. and if this is so strong albums produces as CLIMAX should it be all right with me first!
