So much for the summary. I have this book that last split in the "Strange Angels" series, into two parts. The first is the story (the first 2/3 of the book) and the other the end, which I'll come back later.
The beginning was a bit slow, what we know from the other books of the series already. However, it took on more and more power, the farther left the book. It was really entertaining and I think I say (at least as they said 2/3 of the book As for) that this book together with the latest, Defiance: A Strange Angels Novel, was the best of the series. There was of course again the reps that can not omit the author and a few inconsistencies that could not be explained, but other than that, the book was really good.
I would be up here even venture as far as the book and give 4.5 stars.
The end, however, is something else entirely. And I can not evaluate, together with the book, as it does not go with the best intentions. I would like to comment spoiler free review and I try, but I would recommend this book (or rather the end, because the book itself was really good) is not in good conscience recommend.
Anyone who does not believe in cliffhangers will be disappointed here. The book, mind you last in this series, ending with so many open questions, that it is no longer funny. A thread that has looped through all the books is, in any event canceled and terminated. For this, the author brings a new side of Dru's world into play to create unique voltage. Only this direction is as open as possible and utterly impossible for a completion of a series. In addition, and I can not here say exactly what I mean, and I apologize in advance if I but inadvertently reveal something I did not want to, is still somewhat open, somewhat whereupon the reader now leave since the first book that it is stopped, but it will not. It's frustrating to be honest. I was angekommnen end and thought to myself that it can not but have been.
The author attempts in her blog to explain himself, who wants to read it after reading the book (see comment). It is a justification for what she did or wrote. For me, it just looks so that they just could not decide.
It is, I think, clear that the book and thus Dru's story should end otherwise. The steps for this are obvious. I do not know why she has not done it. If it intends to make at some point in the future, perhaps in another series with the characters further, then I could understand it, that it has ended the way she wanted it. Only it is inappropriate at this time and a disappointment for every reader who has read this series.
For the end there is of me 2 stars and that's only because I hope it goes in the future, however, even further.

Everyone should be warned that there is no happy ending, which is not personally a big deal for me. However, there are no financial statements. What there are a) a really good story, b) many unanswered questions and c) an unsatisfactory completion of a series with many ups and downs.
