First:
I use the product mainly to digital drawing (in programs such as MangaStudio4 that came here or PS Elements, Paint Tool Sai etc. pp.), As a mouse or touch screen replacement it is rarely used.
If I use it simplifies it by its Touch function to work with Windows 8 much. The gestures are recognized just like on a screen with touch and running (wipe from top to bottom to close programs etc pp.). Who but not installed Win8 on his computer, so working with touch can make it difficult to deal also, all a matter of practice.
Processing:
+ The tablet is small, light and yet very noble processed through the metal surface. It offers a surprising very appealing and you can loop in which you can put the pen, and the ring at the rear end of the pin change, so color variations are possible. Included are a blue ribbon (+ ring, mounted immediately), and both, in black. Whether or other colors are to change, I have not been able to bring in experience.
+ The flaps for additional accessories (such as wireless adapter) are well suited for amateurs and not be seen on top of the back of the tablet (wide black border).
The pen tips are located in a separate flap in the middle of this edge attached to the inside of the flap that is withdrawn (not lying loose in it, but are attached to the lid). See:
- I was very surprised that the tip of the Wacom pen but wears out much faster than my no-name product. She also leaves behind dark streaks on the gray drawing surface. Does not look very nice, but you can wipe away with a damp cloth. However, I'm curious how long to keep the tips that were supplied.
Private:
- Quickly inserted the CD, nor on the Wacom site when required to register the current driver download and then it can work. However, I must say it is complicated especially for beginners to click through the four installed programs, until you find the settings. (There are, for example, a program that is relevant only for the Cintiq models with its own screen, this was at the Intuos drivers installed automatically)
It took some time for it to figure out how I can set it so that the pin on the tablet is not 1: represents the position on the screen 1, but can be used 'relative'. This means the pin can be placed at a point, on the other point you bet on again and the point on the screen has not changed. Especially when drawing on large screens with a smaller tablet like this very convenient. With larger the 'absolute' setting should also außreichen.
Whoever seeks the setting: you have to switch between 'mouse' and 'pin' back and forth.
However + Once you have the installation behind the Tablet of the handling and sensitivity one of the best that I could to try to date.
MangaStudio4:
+ The product is the cardboard box in a paper that has approximately the size of a CD, because the list is on the Key is written for program download. Personally, I prefer it when a program included in CD form, although it is made the user very easy with the download. First you have to register on Wacom what some people may not like it, but you can collect on this account even more additives, such as for example a Photoshop Elements version is the old Bamboo tablet with came with and therefore always available.
On the website you will be guided through the application and registration, and can then request its download. However, this is after each call can only be used for a limited time, then you have to make a new request (I guess is on the capacity of the servers).
I can about the program itself is not much to say because I have not had the time to check it out in more detail, more about that later.
All in all:
A great product for people who want to get married once in the world of Wacom. It is also ideal for its size for mobile use and for traveling with a drive! Who but more hotkeys, additional features and a larger work area etc needs, rather for professional series (Inutos Pro, Cintiq etc.) should engage or be come to try out this model in size M.
