The Last Samurai (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Madness, the 100th soundtrack by Hans Zimmer. With this soundtrack, he not only achieved a Jubilläumsmarke but he has also, in my opinion, one of the best soundtracks in 2003 composed. I would even go so far as to assert that he therefore has a good chance to be nominated for an Oscar at least. The score've already listened before I've seen the movie. Immediately have me "A Way of Life" and especially liked "The Way of the Sword". Wonderful symphonic sounds with cello accompaniment and slight Asian influence. Then again, Japanese drums and bombastic sound elements in support of the fight scenes. The real genius of this score the Zuhöhrer (and viewer) opens up but only after he has experienced film and the score together. Unquestionably, it is a major achievement of Hans Zimmer, the The Last Samurai is become what is now seen in the cinema. A spectacular, epic and fascinating monumental work. If you followed the soundtrack sounds again, you can see the great pictures and stunning fight sequences again in front of him. It could, however, here give the impression that the score was bombastic in the first place. Actually, it's not because there are beautiful, quiet and melodic passages convince, together with the short and powerful tempo changes. In front of me from the winter may take months. With this disc in my CD player, my head-cinema has food for a long, long time.
