Am disappointed and I was, however, from the third game of the box.
First I went with fairly high expectations of this game approach. Anyone familiar with the other parts of the series, will certainly understand why. In addition, it had to draw a certain appeal for the first time as a woman in the fight. The ideas are actually quite nice, but the implementation is not really succeeded.
First of all, the game lacks a truly recognizable and exciting storyline, it contains the game but miserably many video sequences that are not to skip. Surely these sequences belong to the AC series therewith, but at Liberation one has the feeling that the big part of the game does not play out, but watch out there. And if you really must come again as a player in appearance, the missions are usually extremely short and, if one has once again gathered in the control (since I had not played for a while AC), also extremely easy.
That one comes surprisingly fast in this game to have the money to buy the equipment that you want to have, bothers me less now. In the treasure chests, which usually contain only a few hundred coins in the other parts of the series, you will find in this game neatly coal. Would be nice if you yourself had in the campaign something to concentrate rather than have to collect money. If one has not. But as I said, that bothers me less.
The idea that Aveline (so the name of the protagonist) can manifest itself in different attire seems quite funny and a first smart idea to you then just play. First of all, Aveline is weaker when it bears the slaves or women's clothing and also in terms of freedom of movement and choice of weapons, these two variants clothes restrict enormously. You can climb as a slave at least yet, this comes as a lady completely gone, which means that you have to walk in places forever through New Orleans, when the women's clothing is prescribed, because you do not take small shortcuts over the rooftops, or can climb over obstacles. The extremely annoying over time and you're lucky if you can even move back.
All in all, Liberation possibly a game for beginners who need to find in the world of AC Once cope. For players who are already familiar with the other parts, the game is rather dull and unattractive.
