Catch 22, so this is the story of the absurdity of men in war. Men sentenced to do more bombing missions by a colonel believing he thereby increases his chances of promotion.
An issue? Ask to be assigned to the ground by posing for a fool, as specified in Article 22. But Article 22 also says: "Whoever wants to be dispensed to go through fire is not really crazy." And do not forget: Only are entitled to ask those who will never arise. You begin to despair? Do not worry, lean on "the wisdom and justice of God immortal, omnipotent, omniscient, human, universal, anthropomorphic, English-language, English-speaking and pro-American."
Reproach anyway: too long novel, with a lot of unnecessary parts, especially as too absurd kills the absurd. It remains a classic of contemporary American literature.
