Write actually never reviews, but it needs this machine now but times do: Have before buying 3 1/4 years ago (December 2011) and long researched and decided in addition to the simple cleaning of value due to the Krups. I thought. Must unfortunately connect me to many previous speakers: The device is designed in my opinion to wear. After 1 1/2 years daily use (2 cups foam) was stuck with the wave of worn burnt milk almost, the device produced no foam, but only hot milk. So without further ado device completely disassembled, cleaned everything (approx. 1 hour), followed by another 2 years of peace. Today now complete failure of the device, no longer make a sound. So again disassembled, cleaned all contacts of the base station and the device including ribbon cable and its connector with isopropyl alcohol. Besides the now again very dirty with milk shaft cleaned. Then the device a second time is now running again. Ok. The Positive: when the unit is running and the shaft is not stuck, it makes great foam and is a morning delight. However, you just have from one device to the 100 Euro expect it does not have a built-in expiration date, what the other reviews so, depending on the frequency of use as a mean to my experience and probably between 1 1/2 and 3 years. After the warranty is not a technically skilled buyer must then either disposed of or repaired if necessary for a lot of money the unit. In this respect (and while I now drink a nice latte after 1 hour tinkering.) Heavy heart my recommendation that I have already given several acquaintances who were thinking to get the device: Not recommended. 2 stars for the wonderful foam and easy cleaning .... if the unit is running.
