Mechanical imprecise: only with a lot of power ('m a strong man) to open, others would not get open. Very unsound construction, the 'bottom plate' bend immediately if you go out with some force (which unfortunately was necessary indeed). Under Linux, it was with 2 different SSD not (a OCZ, a Samsung), happy in both cases, even the system, reproducible (Ubuntu 4.14 with all the latest updates). On Windows did not try. A USB3 standard compliant device should run on Linux as well as Windows. Various other USB3 disks run without any problems for me.
