I'm using for years a Börner Planer (V4), with whom I (all panels are adjustable in height) for the fine adjustment actually am very satisfied. On V-planing me the stainless steel plate and the garage have irritated. When unpacking, I was still excited. The plane sits comfortably in the hand and feels high quality. The Bays raced in both the planing and in the garage, a well and not slide around. But the very first use my enthusiasm has waned. The plate for thin disks is much too big for a cucumber salad and corresponds to the medium setting when V4. Onions can my V4 also much finer. Even were repeatedly left strips that were only scratched and not rolled. The cutting result is unsatisfactory. I'll stay with my V4 and give the thing.
