A Dark Mind is about 9 months after the end of the last part and Ragan takes here several storylines on. The main case revolves around the so-called. "Lovebird Killer" that selects mainly spouses or lovers as victims and later Lizzy its sights, which has become downright famous by the arrest of Spiderman Killers.
Lizzy has a lot around the ears, on the one hand, the cases accumulate in her office, on the other hand they Hayley tries to help its former employee who was arrested at the end of the last part. In addition, she is still insecure in your relationship with Jared and tries her sister after their divorce assist.
Ragan has again delivered a very exciting part to Lizzy and her two young investigators. In addition to the narrative strands of the three female characters, there is also a re-look at the idea of this serial killer. Lizzy and her team are working on different cases and Ragan linked some of these cases very cleverly.
The only thing that has bothered me, however, in this part a little was that the detectives have a bit late to connect to the Lovebird killer made. Here I found the investigation in the two previous books somewhat skillful.
I really liked Lizzy's personal development, since it affects not quite as bleak as in the first part. In addition, I was pleased that in addition to Jessica and Haley and Jared are again one of the party, which last this time is not so strongly represented.
The book is self-contained, but Ragan concludes with a small cliffhanger, which definitely makes appetite for the next part. The book can also be read without the previous books but who does not know the number, I recommend this to start all over again:
Abducted (The Lizzy Gardner Series # 1)
Deadweight (The Lizzy Gardner Series # 2)
A Dark Mind (The Lizzy Gardner Series # 3)
