Ordinary glasses for comparatively little money

Somewhere I read the phrase a few weeks ago "2015 is not the year in which we all VR goggles. But it is definitely the year in which we all want to have one!" (Not literally, but in spirit, and I also do not know where I read it). But I know one thing now: This statement is soooo right ...

I have now for some time dealt with this simple, inexpensive "sample glasses", and even if this unit (operated by me in connection with the Samsung Galaxy S4) is anything but perfect, so it can but a small impression of convey what there soon belongs VR goggles on us with the "right".

With these glasses I had initially only managed to get added about a square image, because the image on the smartphone is shown filled. As a result, although there is a good 3D effect, but the picture is just quite distorted (the guy from Avatar look the same twice the size of). Of course, there may be nothing to the spectacle - it was my fault that I have worked on Youtube only with the search term "3D Side by Side", because these images are meant for TV sets. When equal examined with a term such as "Google Cardboard Virtual Reality 3D Side by Side", you also get movies delivered as a result, have black bars top and bottom, so it'll also have a decent, rectangular image with correct proportions. The image is, of course, never so attention be hinzubekommen filling as with future glasses - at least not with a normal-sized smartphone. It may be that the visual impression is very different when using eg a Galaxy Note.

For eyeglass wearers, this "test glasses" only conditionally suitable: a full-size glasses does not fit under it, and even with my old, small and round John Lennon wire-rimmed glasses, the whole is anything but comfortable to wear. If that would be a permanent thing here, I might dismantle the temple and installing the glasses directly into the device (otherwise: gas mask glasses from the Bundeswehr?). Slight vision problems can, however, compensate by turning on the built-in lens; the viewing distance is even adaptable from the outside. After the experience with these glasses I would Papp version anyway no longer want.

As you can gamble any games? No idea, but should also go. In Google's Play Store, there are in any case a bunch of apps, if you enter a search term "Cardboard" ...
