This time the hysterical hype is about the new album "I love you, Honey Bear" in music magazines and feature articles but really a bit too far. Songwriting, performance and production are okayer average, but more also not. At times the music is uncomfortable eclectic, zusammengestöpselt somewhat arbitrary and without draft. Not his best album since coming hopefully something can better be trusted to the Father John Misty well, but he should take his work then from the outset something more serious. A well-oiled media campaign and some post-Pop hipness is in the end a bit too little for a sustainable career as an artist.
