The package included the voluminous, many-year-old driver CD makes an initial setup (under Win7) not easy. I therefore recommend that the CD did not even unpack and widget equal to the current driver plus programming software of the MadCatz / Saitek website. With which the device then works however without any problems and also the use of the provided on the Saitek page profile is then no longer a problem. The Flight Stick is an excellent workmanship and unlike the previously used by me FLY 5 as different as day and night. The preload is adjusted so that very smooth control movements are made possible, the z. B. were not to be realized with the very strong tension during FLY5. Stick and Throttleeinheit are the way without further fastening when used safely on the table, the supplied Gummisaugfüße are not required. The Throttle unit has a catch, but it can be relatively easily expanded with little craft effort to enable a grid-free setting, unfortunately at 25 and 75% thrust. Both units have a very high quality with a mix of metal and plastic and promise a long service life. The illumination of the keys and the MFD can not be adjusted or turned off, which is a shame, but does not affect the overall impression. So far I use the X52 exclusively with FSX. I only have adapted to my needs, available from Saitek FSX profile, which is a breeze with the setup software.
