Positives:
* There are a genuine software and an Eco mode available, though at least hiding something when MacOSX driver.
* A real on-off switch is available (unlit).
* The fan is relatively quiet, a bit like a quieter PC and switched on in standby completely.
* Operation and printing results odorless.
* Very fast resume from standby.
* Housing and connections work very solid, as is the whole device. Compared to the cheap Samsung printers as different as day and night.
* The printer is relatively light and has almost ideal IKEA shelf dimensions.
* Serrated finger grips for safe lifting and carrying there's also.
* Apparently very simple toner changes and obviously accepted EPSON, that uses alternative toner by only "recommended" to buy originals.
* Foolproof paper feed with automatic centering and dust.
* The housing provides in white and gray tones of noble, can give it as a photo.
* Very resource-conserving driving under MacOSX and simple Dashboard widget. Here HP says hello with several 100 MB (Windows 7)!
* Practical non-nonsense packaging.
Negatives:
* After unpacking is not warned before the first connection to the computer before, already load paper. That had me under Mac OSX 10.7. right the first time you turn a paper jam the consequence of lies but easily removed by the paper feeder. Then everything went.
* The driver for MacOSX does not allow you to print a test page.
* The flap under the paper feed depends a bit in the air when the printer is on a shelf and has no backing in front of the paper feed.
* The time to standby can not be selected and is estimated 10min long, where at least 60W energy are drawn. After then 5W, which I find ok.
* The button in the middle of the operation indicator has no tactile feedback and is very shaky and cheap. But that almost all printers that are not of HP and I fell into the hands. Almost as agreed ...
* The connections for USB and power on the back are left _und_ right. Although this is only bad if you want to lay the cables together, but it is not clear to me why you do something.
* The MacOSX driver is confusing and requires a lot of clicks and a good memory, until you repeat to all and partly also important options is ran.
* Legal large minimum print margins: around 6 x mm, down almost 15mm!
* Why only the unpacking customer must engage the output bin on top itself and that is not done at the factory, is beyond me. A step is indeed thereby saved during installation, but the customer is slightly annoying when unpacking and fears cancel noses (no warranty). So what I do not understand.
* The information sheet in the paper tray is adhered with tape; you have the fairly strong rip out and specially still remove the tape later. Ginge elegant ...
* The installation instructions for the driver could have been much briefer, the too-small screenshots omit and the whole thing can make clearer / need. Got that I have the instruction manual completely (I, however, also have a university degree;)).
* The printer requires around on all 4 sides square to him: Links Fan, rear connections and "Paper Jam Tray", right Toner and off switch, front feed slot. But you should know that before buying.
* The front feet are not made of rubber, so transferred, the fan vibration z. B. in wooden shelves as a speaker cabinet and thus low-frequency amplified. The manufacturer saves ... 2 cents (?), The paying customer pays with nerves and it adhered, at best, felt pads underneath, so that peace prevails. Ridiculous.
* As always not supplied USB cable. When figured the first manufacturer to forget many customers that ordering with / to buy and then angry when they want to take part in Sunday's operation? This saving urge annoying, but also toner is already there!
My conclusion: In terms of sensational price a great product with very few and minor weaknesses.
