The focus of my review but should be the objective.
Apparently, the G6 is often bought in the kit with the Vario 14-42 lens. At least the distribution of the reviews speak for (currently 33 reviews for the 14-42 and 5 for the 14-140mm lens kit).
Allen, for not the purchase price, but the uncertainty about the quality of the lens 14-140er, could be buying decision, I like to share with my experience.
After the first few weeks of testing I can recommend all the 14-140mm lens strongly. The image quality is very good. I can, if at all notice only at the wide angle edge minimum distortion and vignetting close and no color variation (you have been very critical search for); completely irrelevant to my claim. According to the judgment of the relevant journals, the image quality is expected to be approximately at the level of a Nikon D-5200 or a Canon EOS 700, so upscale DSLR middle class. The operation of the zoom wheel popped (not too heavy and not too light), the auto-focus and image stabilization work excellent. A true all-in-one lens. It is relatively small and weighs only 265g. Opposite the old 14-140er that it has replaced in mid-2013, a huge improvement.
I am so happy that I do not know überhaubt currently, if and when I'm going to buy an extra lens. The zoom range and the image quality enough for me just fine.
The price-performance ratio (currently about 800 euros for the kit) is very good and makes me doubt whether the acquisition of 14-42mm kits, possibly supplemented with a telephoto lens for then probably much more money is generally more appropriate. Besides being omitted for the 14-140er kit that carry around a second lens or lens exchange.
For me, a very clear issue: Apart from the higher starting price actually everything speaks for the 14-140er Kit.
From me 5 star and a strong buy recommendation.

After farther 5 months, 2 holidays (including Africa with Safari, etc.) and 1000s photos I have the camera now can really check for `thoroughly 'and know I believe all the details of the device.
Really new knowledge I did not win.
But anyone who has already written reviews, knows the danger that reviews often be overly positive in the exuberance of the first enthusiasm. However, a correction of the review to take things, use does not occur often, so that tends to be likely to be described positively.
That is why again and in the strongest terms: not only the first, change the second and third impression on my judgment nothing.
The Panasonic Lumix G6 with the 14-140mm lens doing an excellent job. Picture quality Thanks to the G6 and thanks to the lens very well. Really easy to use, I have the individual function key assignment changed several times, now everything is set so that I can change the really important and frequent functions with only a few clicks quickly.
By the way: The unit's principle not dustproof; on the very dusty Safari had the camera since swallow some, the camera has the but put away easily.
So continue to thick 5 stars !!!
