Pioneer 170: Focus -, black level o; Color gradations: o, o plasticity => Image fuzzy
Panasonic BDT 500: Focus +, black level +; Color gradations: o, o plasticity => picture seemed a bit flat
Marantz UD 5007: Focus +, black level +; Color gradations: +, plasticity + => Overall very balanced
Actually, it would become the Marantz, I would not have the current Yamaha still tested at the last moment:
Yamaha BD A 1040: Focus ++, black level +; Color gradations: +, plasticity + => images so crisp and vibrant colors.
The picture appeared in the three-year younger Yamaha slightly sharper and the colors fresh image. Also in the audio portion of the Yamaha harmonized better with my system that I used for testing. The sound of the Marantz is tuned warm. An alternative would be the identical Denon, which is to be coordinated rather different policy.
The Marantz has more possibilities for image adjustment: sharpness, brightness, contrast.
The Yamaha can be controlled via Miracast and Bluetooth.
