Silver Lining (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Whether one finds the CD good or not, everyone must surely decide for yourself. Who can sit back comfortably on the sofa while like sprinkling, where the charm of City will probably open up barely. All others who turn not only the ears but also the brain to receive, but will be thrilled.
What City presented with "silver lining", looking at the present time his peers, unfortunately, all too often unsuccessful. City has always been much more difficult in the former West Germany than other bands, eg. As carat or Puhdys. The home fans come mainly from the former East Germany. It certainly will change this CD nothing. The texts often open only during repeated listening, and that's a good thing. Who is the way I grew up with City, knows how you have to listen to their songs. The statement is often between the lines and understand they can be even really only if you sat through this or similar stories themselves. It's great, it's there in Prenzlauer Berg is a small combo that just does not see the laws of the market and instead simply that doing what they have always done: honest music. I rarely use this word, but this is East Rock in its purest form.
Sure, City is, was and will always be "the window" be (knows the way in Greek country each child). Who finally wants to hear even more of them, which I will present my CD to my heart.
Two songs I like particularly. Firstly, "Because the earth is a sphere", a musikalisiches commitment to one's roots. And of course, "Tamara". Toni Krahl tells about his Gedaknen at the grave VCN Tamara Danz. This is emotional without falling into kitsch, feelings without Duselei, just honest. Full respect for a big singer, who in the Textzeilke "What came to you, was quick of forgotten junk." culminates.
We can only hope that the motivation could also be other, easy to make "their thing", without looking to the right and left or only on the sales figures.
