Scope of supply:
Inside the box there is no disk, but a concise instructions / information where you download the software and the activation code on a sticker on the back page of the manual. In my opinion, you would have yet to attach a disk or be able to offer a version in which a DVD is.
Installation and function:
The installation is (relatively) easy. The operating system I still use MacOS 10.9.5 (Mavericks). Why change when the system is running? When Windows system Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate installed was under Bootcamp already.
Parallels has recognized this and involved installation errors. I find it interesting, especially the "Coherence". Programs start out from the dock, the Windows Start menu is displayed here as the original. Even better is the full screen mode. This Windows runs as a separate desk, with the four-finger gesture, you can move through the MacOS to Windows. That's what I have a big grin on his face conjured up: D. I have Windows allocated 4GB of RAM, left the rest with the default values of Parallels. This Windows and the programs running (eg for accounting and for tax return) is very good.
In the beginning, it takes clear a little, until the machine is booted, but then lets Windows use under MacOS as if they were running natively.
As programs I use as Office, Opera, VLC, IrfanView, Adobe Acrobat Pro etc. as usual (some things go with freeware / open source under Windows than under MacOS easier when no one likes to hear).
A drop in velocity of the entire system, I could not watch. However, I have an i7 CPU and 16 GB RAM. For games, I can not say anything because I have no graphics Kracher. "Normal" but games run as usual.
My Conclusion:
Already under Snow Leopard I have already tested a previous version of Parallels because I had two laptops at the time, I have used both systems and therefore Windows natively. With my current MacBook, I have only one system that I have to boot thanks to Parallels and all programs will run the way I'm used to it - regardless of whether Windows 7 or MacOS. The comfort when working has increased to disk and peripheral run as usual (printers, scanners). Therefore, I forgive the full five stars.
