The 1byone Easy Chime touch screen wireless doorbell offers unlike many other wireless doorbells the ability to use custom ringtones. At first I had a few teething problems with the correct format the SD card, I had formatted a card in a digital camera and inserted into the bell. Although I copy ringtones to the SD card and from other devices (PC) could be played, I had at the bell only 16 pre-installed tones to choose from. Until I have the SD card on the PC reformatted, with the default (FAT). The digital camera had formatted as RAW, so I for the bell, although the PC but could not play in the bell the MP3s. Then I have the files - all less than 15 seconds - retransmitted directly from the PC connected to the bell inserted SD card and lo and behold: It works! The sensor buttons for volume control and to select the ring tone to respond with my model with a small time lag, but it all works as it should. The doorbell button briefly lights blue on when he was pressed, can be screwed with its back to the wall and can not be too easy to open, what manipulations by pranksters or saboteurs at the doorstep but also difficult. The design of the receiver is clearly inspired by a well-known MP3 player but not unattractive (I have the black version). The base station can optionally be set up or likewise fastened on the wall.
Conclusion: Much creative space for custom ringtones and a nice recovery for older SD cards (too) small capacities.
