With a 16GB memory card the COMAND system only works in mp3 format, as it is also in the instructions; the MPEG used on normal CDs 4 files can only be read at random. However, not all pieces of music are read in MP3; to be again converted and saved sometimes. Am fully satisfied with the purchase.
