Kingston MobileLite MLW221 wireless card reader (Personal Computers)

Customer Review

I've been looking for some time for a simple way how I can save photos from SD card to USB hard drive on vacation. The setting was the fact that this is done without the use of a laptop and have reached an acceptable speed - which is necessary because copying hundreds of RAW photos would take forever.
Here I found the Kingston MobileLite Wireless and have this then ordered immediately.

The card reader is the size of a current smartphone in about and feels dibasic. After charging the battery can then be losgelegt directly. USB hard disk and SD card plug - MicroSD an SD adapter is specially settled - and connect to the app via WiFi. There folders or files can be selected and copied or moved.
The great advantage when copying SD card to USB is that the copying process is done directly via the internal interface on the device. The data thus not having to go through WiFi to smartphone and back. There are therefore / copy speeds reached about 10MB sec.

A minor drawback, however, there, however, the more the app is due to: it can only have one folder or file to copy / move are selected. When backing up an SD card that comes directly from the camera, it does not matter, since the photos are stored in a separate folder.
However, if more than one file directly in the SD card root directory / USB disk, so the copy is very time consuming ..

Despite these minor weakness but I am extremely pleased with this unit and can issue a strong buy recommendation!
